Mitchell Schools Without Power

UPDATE: Feb. 8, 2022 (2:50pm) Manitoba Hydro has restored power to Mitchell Elementary School and Mitchell Middle School.

Feb. 8, 2022 (2:00pm) – Due to a nearby community power outage, Mitchell Elementary School and Mitchell Middle School are currently without power. Manitoba Hydro is aware of the situation and working to restore power.

Drinking water is available, and heating is not an immediate concern, but the septic systems for both schools do require electricity. Therefore, we ask parents who can do so to pick up their child from school as soon as possible. For those students who remain in school, school buses will continue to run as per the regular schedule at the end of the school day.

Please note that email access and phones may be impacted during this outage. Emails and calls directed to MES and MMS will be temporarily re-routed to the Division office.
