HSD Public Statement

Hanover School Division can confirm that Steinbach RCMP were called to Steinbach Regional Secondary School on Tuesday March 14, 2017, after being notified of a youth carrying weapons in their backpack. The weapons had been safely separated from the youth without incident before police arrived. The youth was arrested under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. READ MORE>

HSD Changes Kindergarten Class Schedule

Steinbach, MB. March 7, 2017 – The Hanover School Division Board of Trustees have voted to change the kindergarten class schedule for schools in the Steinbach catchment area. Class scheduling at Elmdale, Southwood, and Woodlawn schools will change from the existing half day (every day) class schedule, to a full day (alternate day) class schedule effective September, 2017. Health Notice – Mumps

Since September 2016, Manitoba has been experiencing an outbreak of Mumps. As of February 10, 2017 there have been 162 confirmed cases. In recent weeks the spread of mumps has expanded throughout Manitoba and now includes cases in pre-school and school aged populations. READ MORE >
