Learning at Home

Hanover School Division has extended high-speed Internet service to three additional communities in Blumenort, Grunthal, and Mitchell. This will facilitate Learning@Home by providing school communities that have limited access to high-speed Internet service, with FREE high-speed filtered Internet via a designated access point on school property. In addition to the Landmark service announced last week, this new pilot project has been extended to students/families from Blumenort School, Green Valley School, South Oaks School, Mitchell Elementary School and Mitchell Middle School.

The HSD Free WiFi Network is accessible 8:00 am – 8:00 pm daily, and users must be within proximity of the following locations:

  • Blumenort – Blumenort School (Bus Loop)
  • Grunthal – South Oaks Elementary School (North Staff Parking Lot)
  • Mitchell – Mitchell Middle School (Bus Loop)

Community members are reminded to practice proper social distancing when using this service and to avoid congregating in groups. Please note that HSD monitors access to the network, and all web traffic is filtered.

The Free WiFi Network is a pilot project intended to support Learning@Home. If successful, we will be looking to expand this service into other rural school communities that have limited access to high-speed Internet.
