Hiring Announcement
Steinbach, MB. March 23, 2022 – The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Marge Thiessen to the permanent position of principal for Southwood School. Marge has held the position of interim principal at Southwood since September 2021.
Prior to her current role, Marge served as a vice-principal at Steinbach Regional Secondary School (2019-2021) and Niverville Elementary School (2018-2019). Her teaching experience includes 13 years as a learning support teacher, having held positions at Elmdale School (2010-2018) and Southwood School (2005-2010). Early in her teaching career, Marge taught Grade 9 at Steinbach Junior High School (1999-2005).
