HSD Welcomes Kelly Barkman
August 28, 2024 – Steinbach, MB – The Board of Trustees welcomes Kelly Barkman to the Hanover School Division. Kelly has been appointed by the Minister of Education and Early Childhood Learning to serve in an advisory role to the Board, with funding provided by the Province.
Kelly brings a wealth of administrative experience to this new role. He recently retired from the River East Transcona School Division in 2022, where he served as Superintendent-CEO for ten years. Before joining River East Transcona, he served as the Superintendent of the Red River School Division for nine years. Kelly began his teaching career at Niverville Elementary School in 1982 and was employed in the Hanover School Division for 21 years, including as a principal in Landmark and Kleefeld.
