Steinbach, MB, Nov. 3, 2026 – The Hanover School Division Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeff Friesen as Board Chair and Shayne Barkman as Vice-Chair for the 2026–27 school year. These appointments, voted on by their fellow trustees, are for a one-year term.
Jeff was first elected to the Board in October 2022 and previously served as Chair for the 2024-25 school year and Vice-Chair for the 2025-26 school year. Shayne was first elected to the Board in October 2022, and this will be his first term as Vice-Chair.
