Fresh Fruits and Vegetables in Schools
Complete the Nutrition Survey – Parents and Caregivers (Jan. 14, 2026)
Thanks to the Nutrition Grant from Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning, students in every Hanover School Division school have access to nutritious snacks. This program ensures every student can enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables, helping them stay energized, focused, and ready to learn.

Each school will have fresh fruit and vegetables readily available during the school day. These snacks are intended for students who need a healthy boost to help them concentrate and fully engage in their learning. We recognize that access to nutritious food is vital for both physical and mental well-being, and we remain committed to ensuring no child goes hungry while at school.
Alongside this initiative, we are continuing our long-standing partnership with Soup’s On, a local organization that has played a vital role in supporting families in our community. For more than two decades, Soup’s On has provided bag lunches for children in need, ensuring they receive a nutritious meal during the school day. Their dedication to student well-being has been invaluable, and we are grateful to continue working with them as we expand efforts to promote healthy eating across the Division.
We believe that providing nutritious food options contributes to a supportive learning environment for all students, and we look forward to the positive impact this initiative will bring to our school communities. Families are encouraged to contact their school if they have questions or would like more information about the Nutrition program.
