SRSS in Hold and Secure

Feb. 10, 2022, 11:30am – Due to the ongoing protest being held outside the SRSS and for reasons of student/staff safety, the SRSS is currently in Hold and Secure and will remain so until the end of the school day. Students are safe and secure. Students will remain in classes with their teachers. The exterior doors are locked and monitored to allow students and staff to enter, but otherwise remain locked. The RCMP is aware of the situation and is on scene at the school. For those parents who decide to pick up their child, they may park in the bus loop (back of school), as the front of the school is congested.

Power Restored at MES and MMS

UPDATE: Feb. 8, 2022 (2:50pm) Manitoba Hydro has restored power to Mitchell Elementary School and Mitchell Middle School.

Feb. 8, 2022 (2:00pm) – Due to a nearby community power outage, Mitchell Elementary School and Mitchell Middle School are currently without power. Manitoba Hydro is aware of the situation and working to restore power. Drinking water is available, and heating is not an immediate concern, but the septic systems for both schools do require electricity.
